Reviving the Golden Era of
Saar Wine from the Early 20th Century.
Ehem. Domäne Serrig
Founded in 1904 by Kaiser Wilhelm II., it stood as the largest and most avantgarde state domain of its time. Served as an iconic representation of state viticulture for numerous decades. Privatized in the late 1980s and later acquired by Markus Molitor in 2016.

Made at Scholz and Friends.
In order to establish a graceful connection between the 1920s and the contem-porary era, we selected two fonts that beautifully encapsulate this transition, even though they exhibit strikingly different aesthetics.
We incorporated architectural elements from the early 20th century as well as components from the winery itself. From these, patterns emerged that are featured on both the wine label itself, as well as on the website and the packaging.
An iconic element of the brand is the striking Saar Gate, which plays
a central role in the winery. The rails on which the vines were trans-
ported to the winery ran through this gate. The Saartor becomes a seal of quality for high-quality wine and can be found on the label as well as on all digital and print media.
